Cancellation Policy:
If Young Engineers cancels the class/workshop/camp we will offer a full refund or credit (customer’s choice)
If government regulations require us to cancel (e.g. COVID rules) the class/workshop/camp we will offer a full refund or credit (customer’s choice)
If the customer cancels a booking for a term of classes after the term has started no refund is offered.
If the customer cancels a booking for a multi-day program (e.g. camp) after the program has started no refund is offered.
If the customer cancels a booking for a workshop/camp less than 14 days before the event runs then no refund is offered.
If the customer cancels a bookinf for a workshop/camp more than 14 days before the event then a refund will be offered.
Missed Class Policy: I understand that Young Engineers is unable to offer make up classes, refunds or discounts for missed classes. This ensures Young Engineers can maintain a stable learning environment for all students with minimum class disruptions. Venues and teachers are also hired based on full term periods.
Enrollment: The minimum enrolment period is one term. For new students joining after the start of a term, fees will be charged pro-rata.
Payment via the online booking system is preferred. Alternatively payment can be made via your bank to the following account: Name: Papilio Engineering Ltd Sort Code: 83-15-10 Account 00166813 Please contact us for other methods of payment.
Credits: Credits are valid until the 31st July of the academic year in which the credit was applied.
Drop Off Time: Children can be dropped off 5 minutes before the start of their class.
Privacy Policy: By completing your booking with Young Engineers you agree that we can collect, store and use your data in line with our privacy policy http://edinburgh.young-engineers.co.uk/privacy-policy/
Photograph Policy: You will be asked if you grant permission for your child to appear in photographs. The copyright of any photographs taken belongs to Young Engineers Edinburgh & West Lothian
I agree to inform Young Engineers when any details previously stated on the enrolment form have changed during the year. In particular contact details, health issues and emergency contact details.
I acknowledge and agree that Young Engineers, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excludes all liability for any loss, damage or other claim arising from or in any way connected to the attendance of my child/children at Young Engineers, including without limitation claims relating to personal injury.
I hereby release and forever discharge Young Engineers from any and all liability, loss and damage (including direct, indirect and consequential) or any other claim in anyway associated with the attendance of my child/children at Young Engineers classes.
In case of accidental injury or incident, I authorise any necessary medical treatment.
I understand that payments for each term must be made in full 1 week prior to the commencement of the new term. After this period, places of unpaid students may be opened to students wanting to pay where there are waiting lists for classes.
I understand that payments that have not been received more than 3 weeks after class commencement, are subject to a late payment fee of £30. Young Engineers will notify parents / guardians if payments have not been received prior to any late fee being charged.
I accept that Young Engineers reserves the right to cancel or change the timetable and pricing structure at any point in time. Class times, duration & locations may vary depending on final numbers.
I accept that Young Engineers reserves the right to refuse admission to any person that presents a disciplinary problem to staff or a threat to the safety and well being of other children. Unacceptable language or bullying will under no circumstances be tolerated and will result in the child being removed from the class with no refund.
Young Engineers expects appropriate and positive behaviour from its students at all times. When these expectations are not met I accept that Young Engineers will discuss behaviour issues with the parent/guardian. If inappropriate behaviour continues and poses threat, harm or continued disruption to others, the student will be asked to leave the program.
I acknowledge that my personal information will be stored in accordance with current privacy legislation.
I warrant that my child has not at any time suffered blackout, seizure, convulsion, fainting, dizzy spells or any other medical condition and is not presently receiving treatment for any illness, disorder or injury which would render it unsafe for my child to take part in Young Engineers classes.
Drop off and pick up to class: Students are only supervised by a Young Engineers teacher during their actual lesson time. I understand that as a parent/guardian I am required to supervise my child/ren before and after class, and drop off and collect their child from the classroom.
Young Engineers expects all children to be fully toilet trained and able to use the toilet unsupervised.
Chewing gum is not allowed under any circumstances.
Each child will be given a kit to work with during classes. The kits will remain with the instructor at the end of the class. The kits remain the property of Young Engineers UK and are copyrighted.
By signing the application form, or making an online booking you agree not to directly or indirectly, copy partly or fully, photograph, communicate, publish, reveal, describe, or use for any purpose any information you have received or seen at a Young Engineers workshop or program for the benefit of others or my own financial benefit or otherwise.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions and will notify parents of any changes immediately. Thank you for signing up for this activity. We will collect and process all personal data in line with the Data Protection Act 1998
